5. Load the selected music by pressing the load buttons (4) ("LOAD A" or "LOAD B") to load the music to the corresponding deck. You can load
the music by dragging the music from the browser tab to the decks.
6. Now you can try out the individual functions of the mixing desk.
Using the headphones / pre-listening
Before plugging in or putting on the headphones, always turn the headphone volume to the minimum (turn PFL volume control
"HEADPHONE VOLUME" (47) to the left stop position) first. Increase the volume to a level that is comfortable for you only after
you have put the headphones on.
The pre-listening function can only be used when the mixer is controlled by the Virtual DJ software.
1. Plug the set of headphones into the headphone jack HEADPHONE 1 (48) / HEADPHONE 2 (49).
2. Click on the "Config" button located on the top right hand corner of the Virtual DJ software interface.
3. Select "HEADPHONES" in the left column of the "Outputs" field.
4. Select the sound card type of your computer in the left column of the "Sound card" field.

5. Select your desired output, depending upon your sound card type, in the right column of the "Output" field:

Master : Left chan / Headphones: Right chan
Master : Right chan / Headphones: Left chan

Master : First card / Headphones : Second card The sound output from the first sound card will be the same as the master audio output;
Master : Second card / Headphones : First card The sound output from the first sound card will be the pre-fade listening output; the sound

Master : Front card / Headphones : Centre card The front channel output of the sound card will be the same as the master audio output;
6. Select the sound card from the right column of the "Sound card" field. If you are using two sound card, the upper one in the computer
interface is the first sound card and the lower one is the second sound card.
Note that you can choose the sound card "CONTROL HEADPHONE" (the headphone output jack of the mixer) and the sound card
"CONTROL MAIN" (the master output of the mixer).
7. Adjust the PFL volume by turning the PFL volume control "HEADPHONE VOLUME" (47). Turn it clockwise to increase the volume, turn it
anti-clockwise to reduce the volume.
8. During music mixing, turn the PFL fader (46) to fade between music from CH 1 / CH 2.
9. You can listen to the input signal without it being reproduced on the connected amplifier. This will enable you, for example in cross-fading/
mixing, to find the correct starting point.

Only one audio output.
There are two sound card in your system.
The sound card provides four output.
The left channel of the sound output will be the same as the master audio output; the right
channel of the sound output will be the pre-fade listening output.
The left channel of the sound output will be the pre-fade listening output; the right channel
of the sound output will be the same as the master audio output.
