2 Safety instructions
The overhead suspension has been manufactured
according to the current state of technology and
recognised safety regulations. Nonetheless, its use can
result in hazards to the life and limb of the user or
third persons, or in damage to the overhead
suspension and other material property.
These operating instructions contain information on
safety.
f Always follow all of the instructions to prevent
personal injury, material damage, or environmental
damage.
2 .1 Representation and layout of warning
instructions
The warning instructions relate to actions and are
structured as follows:

f Measures to prevent danger.
2 .2 Classification of the warning instructions
Warning instructions in the operating instructions
warn the user about risks involved with handling the
overhead suspension and the tool and also provide
information on how to avoid them.
Non-observance can result in accidents with fatalities,
injuries or material damage.
The warning instructions are graded according to the
severity of their danger. In the following, the danger
grading is explained with the corresponding signal
words and warning symbols.
DANGER
Immediate risk of lethal or serious injuries.
WARNING
Possible risk of lethal or serious injuries.
CAUTION
Possible slight injuries.
NOTE
Possible damage to the overhead suspension, the tool, the
cable bundle, or the surroundings.

2 .3 General safety instructions for power tools
The safety instructions in the operating instructions for
the Autotool AT2000 CPK also apply for operating the
Autotool AT2000 CPK after installation in the
AT2000 CPK overhead suspension.
WARNING
Risk of severe injury due to failure to observe the
applicable safety instructions!
Failure to observe the safety instructions in these
operating instructions and/or in the other applicable
documents can result in severe injuries, burns, and
electrical shocks.
f Observe all safety instructions and their measures to
prevent danger.
f Observe the operating instructions for the
Autotool 2000 CPK.
f Before performing installation work, cleaning and
maintenance, switch off the tool and the power
supply unit.
2 .4 Basic safety instructions
2 .4 .1 Cleanliness at the workplace
Tidiness, good lighting and cleanliness at the
workplace make work easier and minimise the
dangers and risks of injury.
Observe the following basic principles for tidiness and
cleanliness at the workplace:
f Put away any tools that are no longer required.
f Avoid tripping hazards (e.g. dispose of rubbish in the
intended containers immediately).
f Clean up soiling caused by grease, oils and other
liquids immediately.
2 .4 .2 Spare parts and accessories
Only genuine spare parts and accessories guarantee
correct function and minimise hazards and risk of
injury.
Observe the following basic principles regarding spare
parts and accessories:
f Only use genuine spare parts.
f Check replaced components for proper function.
f Only use accessories that are approved by
HellermannTyton.
