6 Maintenance

During maintenance and cleaning, handle the vacuum cleaner in such a way that there is no danger to
maintenance personnel or other persons. Before all maintenance work: Switch off the vacuum cleaner and
disconnect the mains plug.
Changing the filter cartridges
A cartridge filter is mounted below the motor head. This
cartridge filter prevents the dirt from entering the motor.
If the vacuum cleaner is operating at reduced capacity, the
cartridge filter must be cleaned. If the cartridge filter is damaged,
it must be replaced with a cartridge filter of the same type.
To clean or change the cartridge filter, please proceed as follows:
1. Press the OFF switch to switch off the vacuum cleaner.
2. Release the clamping hook from the motor head.
3. Take the motor head off and put it down carefully.
4. Loosen the star screw on the cartridge filter and pull it off.
5. If the filer is only to be cleaned, you can do so now. The filter is made of water-resistant poly-
propylene material and can be wet cleaned.
6. Also check the float system mounted inside the cartridge filter for contamination. The float
should be able to move freely in the float chamber.
7. When attaching the new or cleaned cartridge filter, make sure that the cartridge filter is prop-
erly and securely
fitted.
8. Place the motor head on the container.
9. Fasten the clamping hooks and make sure they are properly seated.
10. The vacuum cleaner is now ready for use again.
