Updating software
Start the Nero Burning ROM in the

„Nero Express" mode.
From the field „What do you want to

burn?", select the menu item „Disk
image or saved project".
 In the dialogue window that

appears, select the item „Image file"
from the list of file formats provided
under „File type".
Click on „Burn" in the dialogue

window that appears then.
Updating the ReelBox software
 Start the ReelBox by pressing the
mains switch.
 Insert the burned image DVD into
the DVD drive.
Switch the ReelBox into standby

mode by pressing the ON/OFF
button on the remote control or on
the ReelBox.
Restart the ReelBox by

simultaneously pressing the
buttons POWER + EJECT +
RECORD on the front of the
device.
The ReelBox starts from the DVD.


If you confirm Overwrite Config with

Yes, then all user settings will be
deleted and the ReelBox is reset into
the default status.
If you answer Overwrite Config with

No, then all user settings will be
maintained.
 Upon successful updating of the
software, the DVD will be ejected
automatically.
 Remove the DVD.
The ReelBox restarts the installation

assistant.
Ejecting a disk
In case a disk is not ejected by the
eject button on the ReelBox, proceed
as follows:
The ReelBox has to be on so that the
disk can be ejected. It makes no
difference in which condition the
device is (e.g. standby mode).
 Open the cover flap for the front
sockets and CI slots on the right
side of the ReelBox.
Fold the drive panel of the ReelBox

down by gripping it on the right side
and pulling it forward until it snaps
in.
Press the eject button on the DVD

drive. The button is located to the
left of the drive.
 Insert the update DVD into the drive.
 Restart the ReelBox by
simultaneously pressing the
buttons POWER + EJECT +
RECORD on the front of the
device.
The ReelBox starts from the DVD.

In case you have not carried out a
software update in a long time, it is
recommendable to delete the user
settings and to reset the ReelBox into
its default condition.

Never start PCs/notebooks with
an update DVD, because
otherwise their hard disks will be
deleted for good!
