Installation in concrete floors
A
– Place the bath drain in the bare
concrete floor and connect it to
the drain system.
– Fit the yellow protective plug.

– Remove the yellow protective plug.
– Cut the attachment so that it is level with the tiles and fit it.
– Fit the back-pressure seal.

Installation in bare concrete floors
In the case of installation in bare concrete floors, sealing sleeves cannot be used.

– Place the bath drain in the bare
concrete floor and connect it to
the drain system.
– Fit the yellow protective plug.

Sealing sleeve, item no. 287 924
To seal the drain with bitumen welded sheets, polymer-bitumen welded sheets and EPDM sheets.
The sheets are welded using hot air or other welding techniques.
Compliance with the product information supplied with the materials used, as well as the specifications
for the Viega sealing sleeve, is mandatory.

Fit the sealing ring.

Note:
The clamping ring fastening
screws may only be screwed into
the screw holes on the drain.

Fill the opening in the floor
with mortar.

– Cut the attachment so that it is level with the tiles
and fit together with the installed back-pressure seal.
– Apply screed.

Line up the sealing sleeve with
the drain.

– Cut the attachment so that it is level with the tiles.
– Remove the yellow protective plug.
– The floor is ready for tiling.
You will need to install the back-pressure seal if you expect the water to
generate back-pressure.

– Set the clamping flange down
on the sealing sleeve and screw
tight to the drain.
– Lay the sealing sheet.
