AMP LIMIT =Torque control
The AMP LIMIT can be ajusted with the SET-button
(50-150A) or with the GMVIS-Commander (0-200A).
With the AMP LIMIT you can adjust the torque of your
motor. It should be adjusted for no or just a litte bit
wheel spin. The current can be increased at full
throttle with the Turbo function.
(Factory setting: 200A)
These current limits are suggested starting points for
different surfaces and classes of racing.
Low grip: 50-80A, medium grip: 60-100A,
high grip: 80-150A
Turbo
When Torque Control / Current Limiting Technology was first used in electronic speed controllers, divers
noticed that the top speed of their cars was also being limited. Ralf Helbing, GM-Racing´s chief
engineer, was the first to incorporate the new TURBO function to his range of speedos to return the lost
speed drivers suffered from. The adjustable turbo function will override your initial Torque Control once
you have used full throttle, and provides you with full power for the main straight on your track. As soon
as you release full power, the speedo will return to your original Torque Control until you reach full speed
again. See graph above. (TURBO (current increase), default = 5A / 4-25ms)
BRAKE MIN
Short for Brake Minimum. This is the percentage of brake that you require for the first stage of brake
travel on your transmitter. By setting this value at 20-40% you will immediately notice the braking effect
for the smallest movement on your transmitter. (default 0%)
BRAKE MAX
Short for Brake Maximum. This is the percentage of brake that you require for maximum brake level,
before the LED on the speed controller is on. When racing on slippery surfaces or in wet conditions
reduce this value to stop the wheels from blocking. After programming the BRAKEMAX with the SET-
button, the FULLBRAKE setting is set to the same value as BRAKEMAX. To choose a different setting
for FULLBRAKE, you have to set it after the setting of BRAKEMAX or with the GMVIS-Commander.
(Default 100%) Most drivers use about 80%.
AUTOBRAKE
Automatic brake is the brake you can adjust for the throttle neutral point of your transmitter.
On some tracks it can be useful to brake the car automatically for faster cornering. (default 0%) Most
drivers use 0-30%.
AUTOGAS
If the Automatic brake is set to 0, you can adjust the AUTOGAS (0-9=0-36%) for the throttle neutral point
of your transmitter. The AUTOGAS works only for max. 5s to prevent a jump start and to save current
before the start. The AUTOGAS function is mainly used in stock classes to get a higher corner speed.
(Default 0%) (usefull 0-5)
ABS
For a better brake control, it's possible to program the ABS brake, which gives you a better control at
braking, especially in the corner. 0=OFF; 1=ON (Default 0=OFF)
