5.3 Cleaning The Water Heat Exchanger
To guarantee smooth and efficient operation, the water exchanger requires regular cleaning. Depending on frequency of operation it's
suggested to clean the exchanger at least once per month. When the maintanance is neglected the smoke chanels get clogged and the
efficiency hence drops. In extreme cases the insufficient maintanance may lead to irreversible damage of the fireplace insert.
When cleaning the water heat exchanger with a brush follow these steps (pic 7):
· Make sure the fireplace insert is completly cooled down.
· Wear protective glasses and gloves.
· Carefully lift the upper part of the lining - baffle plate. (pic 7/1)
· Use a supplied brush to clean all the pipes in the heat exchanger so the with a respect to the original diameter of the pipe. (pic 7/2)
· Place back on its place the upper part of the lining. (pic 7/3)
To guarantee a smooth operation of the water heating fireplace insert, clean the water heat
exchanger at least once per month.

If your water heating fireplace insert is equipped with a mechanical cleaning device follow the instructions below (pic 8):
· Make sure the fireplace insert is completly cooled down.
· Move the lever of the cleaning mechanism to extreme positions at least 10 times.

5.4 Regular Maintanance Done By An Expert

Annual maintanance plan should include:
· cleaning of the burning chamber and the chimney
· inspection of the door sealings and opening system
· inspection of the air distribution system and its control system
· inspection of the safety elements of the water heat exchanger (overpressure and thermostatic valves, de-airetating valve)
· cleaning of the water heat exchanger
· inspection of the water system
Plan an inspection by an expert – stove fitter before the start of the heating season. Every two years it's
suggested to replace all the door sealing.
