pic 5 / how to light a fire
Always light a fire in the burn chamber from the top side. The burning process will be more efficient
and cleaner.
7. If it's not absolutely necessary don't interfere with the burning process. Let the load of wood burn out. Next batch load only when
there are no visible flames, but there are stil hot particles inside the burn chamber. To prevent smoke leakage to the living room, open
the door slowly and add the suitable amount of wood (see attachment at the end of the brochure).
8. If you don't want to add wood and the previous batch is already burned out, set the air control lever to the postion MIN (pic 4). The air
inlet will be closed and this way the maximal energy from the hot particles will be used.
Don't close the air inlet during the active burning process (visible flames)! The air which is distributed
into the burning chamber cools down the ceramic glass. When the air inlet is closed, the ceramic glass
may get overheated and its structure irreversibly transformed.

4.3 Operation With An Electronic Fireburning Control

If your fireplace insert is equipped with an electronic fireburning control, follow the instructions supllied with this unit.

4.4 Operation In Transitional Period

The right chimney draft is necessary for the correct functionality of the fireplace insert. This draft is also affected from the outside
temperature. The best conditions for the optimal chimney draft are in the winter period, when the outside temperature is low. There may
be a chimney draft issue in the transitional period (autumn/spring). The higher temperature outside makes the conditions for burning
worse and causes higher amounts of smoke. Prevent such situations with following measures:
· use smaller pieces of wood to reach higher temperature and to heat the chimney
· the air control lever should be in the position MAX during the burning process
· use only well seasoned wood with humidity of a max of 18 %

5. Cleaning And Maintanance

5.1 Cleaning Of The Glass

Make sure that the burn chamber is burnt out completly and that the fireplace insert is cold before you
start cleaning. The frequency of cleaning and the intensity of maintanace (fireplace insert, chimney)
depends mainly on the quality of the burning wood. If the fireplace insert hasn't been in operation for
a long time, it's important to check it and also to check the condition of the chimney before you start
a fire.
