DECLARATION OF TERMS OF WARRANTY (B)
Our appliances are manufactured with utmost care. Despite this fact, it is always possible that a defect is present.
Our customer service will handle it upon request, during or after the period of warranty. The lifetime of the appliance
will therefore not be affected. These terms of warranty are based on European Union Directive 99/44/EC and pro-
visions of the Italian Civil Code. The legal rights of the consumer pursuant to this legislation cannot be altered by
this declaration of terms of warranty.
This declaration does not interfere with the seller's obligations of warranty towards the end consumer. The appliance
is warranted within the framework and in observance of the following conditions
1 Based on provisions indicated in paragraphs 2 to 15, we shall repair any defect that appears within a 24-month
period starting on the date the appliance is delivered to the end consumer at no additional cost.
These terms do not apply in the case the appliance is used for professional or similar purposes.
2 The performance covered by the warranty implies that the appliance be put back into its original conditions prior
to the defect's appearance.
The defective components are replaced or repaired. The components replaced free of charge become our property.
3 The defect must be reported immediately in order to prevent more serious damage.
4 Application of the warranty is subject to the consumer producing the proof of purchase bearing the date of pur-
chase and/or the date of delivery.
5 The warranty is inapplicable if damages to delicate pieces such as glass (pyroceram), synthetic materials and
rubber result from improper use.
6 The warranty is inapplicable for mild anomalies that do not undermine the value and overall sturdiness of the ap-
pliance.
7 The obligation of warranty becomes ineffective if the defects are caused by:
- a chemical or electrochemical reaction caused by water,
- generally anomalous environmental conditions,
- improper use,
- any contact with aggressive products.
8 The warranty is inapplicable to defects due to transport beyond our liability.
Moreover, the warranty does not cover those defects caused by improper installation or assembly, lack of mainte-
nance or failure to follow the assembly and user's instructions.
9 The warranty does not cover defects deriving from repairs or service calls made by unqualified or incompetent
people, or caused by adding non-original accessories or spare parts.
10 Easy to transport appliances must be delivered or sent to customer service. Service calls can be considered
only if the appliances are very large or installed in built-in units.
11 If the appliances are installed in built-in units, sub-built-in, secured or hung in such a ways that their removal and
repositioning require more than half an hour, the relative labour costs will be charged. Associated damages caused
by the removal and repositioning operations are at the user's expense.
12 If repeated repair of the same defect during the period of warranty is not final o if the repair costs are deemed
excessive, it may be decided to replace the defective appliance with another of the same value, in agreement with
the owner.
In this case we reserve the right to ask the user to share in the financial costs, based on the period of use that has
elapsed.
13 The repair covered by the warranty does not entail an extension of the normal period of warranty or the renewal
of the period of warranty.
14 We grant a twelve-month warranty on repairs which is restricted to the same defect.
15 The case in which a liability is legally enforced excepted, this declaration of terms of warranty does not include
any indemnity or damages outside the appliance that the customer may wish to avail himself of. In the case of le-
gally recognised liability, reimbursement shall not exceed the purchase value of the appliance.
These terms of warranty are valid only for appliances purchased and used in Belgium. As regards exported applian-
ces, the user must first of all make sure they meet the technical conditions (e.g. voltage, frequency, installation in-
structions, type of gas, etc.) of the country in question and that they withstand the local weather and environmental
conditions. In the case of appliances purchased abroad, the user must first of all make sure they meet the ratings
required in Belgium. Vital or desirable adaptations are not covered by the warranty, and are not always feasible.
