Before cleaning the exhaust hood or

changing the fi lter, pull out the mains
plug. If the mains plug is diffi cult to
access, switch off or pull out the cor-
responding fuse.
CAUTION

Improper handling of the appliance
or incorrect maintenance can result in
grease residue catching fi re.
Grease residue on the exhaust hood

or in the fi lters can catch fi re if ex-
posed to high temperatures. For this
reason, the surfaces of the exhaust
hood and fi lters should be cleaned
regularly.
Cleaning the housing

Do not use any sharp objects or scour-

ing powders, as these can scratch the
surface.
We recommend cleaning the surfaces of the
exhaust hood after every use.
• Wipe the surfaces with a soft, damp cloth
and a little dishwashing detergent.
• Remove soiling immediately if possible,
otherwise the controls may discolour.

Clean the metal grease filter
and fleece grease filter

Handle the fi lters carefully to avoid

bending or creasing the fi ne mesh.
Only reinsert the fi lters after cleaning

once they are fully dry.
The exhaust hood comprises
– a metal grease filter

– a fleece grease filter
(6)
Clean the filters once a month – more often
as required.
1. Unplug the mains plug or switch off the
corresponding circuit.
2. Remove the metal grease filter (2) and
carefully put it aside.
3. Remove the two retaining wires; it is best
to start on the closed side.
4. Remove the fleece grease filter (6).
5. Wash the metal grease filter in the sink
with normal household cleaner.
6. Dry the metal grease filter thoroughly.
