General safety instructions
• To ensure safe operation, the ST-7 flow monitor may only be operated in
accordance with these operating instructions.
• Keep these operating instructions in a safe place for later use.
• The microswitch housing may only be opened by a qualified electrician
using the necessary special tools.
• Installation, electrical connection, commissioning, operation and main-
tenance may only be carried out by trained and authorised personnel.
• Operation with damaged components is not permitted; they must therefo-
re be replaced immediately
• During work, wear suitable protective clothing and observe the relevant
regulations.
• Among other components, the ST-7 flow monitor contains a neodymium
magnet which can be dangerous for many devices and articles of daily use.
The extremely strong magnetic fields of the magnet are responsible for
this. Screens, televisions, hard disk drives, EC cards and video cassettes
are particularly susceptible to strong magnetic fields. Danger to life can
arise for pacemaker wearers! Measurement results of mechanical devices
can also be affected by the magnets.
