MASTER
The mixer output signal is reproduced in stereo on the headphones.
Setting DJ microphone
Speak into the DJ microphone at the DJ-MICRO1 input (20).
Increase or reduce the volume of the microphone level using the DJ-MIC-LEVEL
control (21) until the desired level has been reached. Using the DJ MIC TONE control
(22), you can alter the sound of the microphone.
Cross-fading/mixing
• Using the CROSS-FADER (12) you can cross-fade/mix between the signals of the
channels CHANNEL 3 and CHANNEL 4.
• The one channel is faded out on operating the CROSS-FADER (becomes quieter),
at the same time, the other channel is faded in (becomes louder).
In the central position, both channels are reproduced equally.
Using the cross-faders (15) CHANNEL 1 to CHANNEL 6, you can control the volume
of the individual channels. By fading in (increase volume from control position "0a
channel and simultaneous fading out (reduce volume to control position "0") another
channel, so-called cross-fading is possible. The possibility of cross-fading exists
between several channels at the same time.
In mixing channels, two or more channel faders (15) are increased in volume and
thus several signals "mixed together".
Equaliser feature
Before you start to alter the characteristics of the sound with the equaliser, here are
a few preliminary comments about the physics of hearing:
The human range of hearing extends from about 20Hz to 20kHz whereby the upper
limit is strongly dependent on age (at the age of 65, it lies at about 8kHz).
The frequency range between about 1kHz and 4kHz is the range of absolute sensi-
tivity of the hearing, i.e. the range in which you can hear best. For this reason an
altered equaliser setting in this frequency range is more clearly heard than in the low-
er and higher frequencies.
Increasing the basses and the trebles strongly can therefore sub-
jectively always appear to be too little, on the other hand it can
take your amplifier or the loudspeakers to their load limits or even
beyond.

Only use the device in a moderate climate, never in a tropical climate.
A defective connecting cable may only be replaced by a specialist.
There is the risk of an electric shock!
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. Plastic foils,
Styrofoam parts etc., could become dangerous toys for children.
Observe also the safety and operating instructions of any other
devices that are connected to your music system.
In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and
Operating Materials must be observed.
Never place the device on a soft surface such as, for example, a car-
pet or a bed etc. Apart from this, the air circulation may not be
obstructed by objects such as magazines, table cloths, curtains or
similar.
This hinders the heat extraction from the device and can lead to over-
heating.
To ensure adequate ventilation, there must be a free space around the
mixer/plug-in power unit of 5 cm.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. In the hands
of children, plastic films and/or bags and polystyrene parts etc. can
turn into dangerous toys.
If you are not sure about the correct connection or if questions arise
which are not covered by the operating instructions, please do not
hesitate to contact our technical support or another specialist. Please
consult a specialist in case of doubts about the correct operation or
the product safety.
