The power cable may never be plugged in or out with wet hands.
Electrical devices must be kept out of the reach of children. Therefore,
particular care must be exercised if children are present. Children
could attempt to poke objects into the device. There is the risk of a
fatal electric shock!
Always pull out the mains plug from the mains socket
– before cleaning the device
- in case of thunderstorms
- if you are not using the device for a longer period
Never operate the device without supervision.
Never place the device on an unstable or mobile base. If it fell, persons
could be injured or the device damaged.
Attention should be paid to the fact that the earth (yellow/green) con-
nection is not broken either in the mains cable or in any connected
extension cable as there is danger to life in the case of an interrupted
earth cable connection! Operation without an earth connection is not
permitted.
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or parts are
removed unless this can be done by hand. The connection points may
also be live. Before calibrating, servicing, repair work or the replace-
ment of parts or assemblies, the device must be disconnected from all
sources of current if it has to be opened. If servicing and repair on the
open device is unavoidable, it may only be carried out by a specialist
who is familiar both with the hazards involved and the relevant regula-
tions.
Never switch on the device immediately after it has been taken from a
cold room to a warm one. The condensation water that develops may
destroy the product. Allow the device to reach room temperature
before switching it on. Wait until the condense water has evaporated.
This can take some hours.
Do not place open sources of fire such as burning candles alongside
the appliance.

Therefore, never use the sound control on the amplifier and at the
mixer at the same time. Put the sound control on the amplifier as
far as possible into the neutral position.
The equaliser function is activated by pressing the EQ BYPASS button (8). The
sound can be tuned on separate channels using the individual equaliser slide con-
trols.
Range
Function
Bass range
The 60Hz range is for tuning the very deep basses.
60Hz
Central bass range
In this frequency range, the basic tones of many instruments
150Hz and 400Hz
– also those of the human voice are to be found. Too much
in this range leads to a thick and mushy sound while a too
strong a muting in this range brings about a thin and weak
sound impression.
Central range
The ear is most sensitive in this frequency range. For this
1kHz and 2.4kHz
reason, even small alterations in the adjustment can be
heard clearly. With the aid of the controls in this frequency
range, you can improve the position of a singer or a solo gui-
tar, i.e. put these instruments more strongly into the musical
foreground.
Centre-treble range
This frequency range decides not only on the position of
6kHz
many musical instruments but also about whether a record-
ing sounds "musty" or brilliant.
If you increase the 6kHz-range too much, the sound impres-
sion will be rather "glassy" and "hard". If there are materials
in your listening room which dampen the high frequencies
(thick carpets and curtains, upholstered furniture or beds),
the room frequency response can be compensated with this
control.
Super treble range
As already mentioned, hearing in this frequency range is
15kHz
very much dependent on age. It is therefore possible that an
alteration in the super-treble range of older adults is not per-
ceived at all. By raising the super-treble range, reproduction
can appear to be "more airy". On the other hand, by reduc-
ing the super treble range, interference noise, as can arise in
cassette deck or radio reproduction, can be suppressed.
