8. Dismounting, return and disposal

8.1 Dismounting

environment caused by dismounting under pressure
The pointer of a damaged instrument, despite high pressure,
can still stand at zero accidentally.
Due to the high energy of the escaping media, the possibility
of physical injuries and damage to property exists.

8.2 Return
Strictly observe the following when shipping the instrument:
All instruments delivered to WIKA must be free from any kind of hazard-
ous substances (acids, bases, solutions, etc.) and must therefore be
cleaned before being returned.

Perform the cleaning process (as described in chapter 7.2
"Cleaning").
Dismounting is only permitted in the depressurised state.
Reliably depressurise the instrument using the availa-
ble valves and protective devices (e.g. shut-off valve,
monoflange).
