Laser safety requirements - basic principles:
The BGV-B2 of the UVV of the professional associations in Germany and the DIN EN 60825-
1:2015 form the basis.
This device includes a class 3R laser. This system is equipped with a connection for an external
safety switch and a safety key. The safety key should always be removed from the device
unless trained personnel are using the product.
The operator of the system is responsible for the health of the persons present! It is therefore
essential that you familiarise yourself with the applicable regulations for the operation of
systems with lasers. It is essential that you observe the following instructions for safe use.
Prior to start-up, an expert must be appointed in writing by the system operator as laser
safety offi cer. In addition, the operation must be reported to the authority responsible for oc-
cupational health and safety and to the employers' liability insurance association. If the laser
system is to be operated publicly, it must fi rst be inspected by an expert before use.
DANGER! (For Babies and Children)
Wrapping, plastic foils and other packaging material must be properly
stored or disposed of. It should be kept out of the reach of babies and
children due to the risk of suffocation.
Ensure that children never use the device unattended! Also make sure that
children do not remove any (small) parts from the device, as they could
suffocate if swallowed!
DANGER! (electric shock due to high voltages in the device)
Do not remove the housing. There are no serviceable parts in the unit.
Inside the device there are components which are under high electrical
voltage.
The device must not be used if damage or the absence of components,
protective devices or housing parts is noticed!
DANGER! (Laser radiation - do not expose eyes or skin to the beam)
This effect includes a class 3R laser according to EN 60825-1:2015.
Do not look directly into the laser beam! Do not expose anyone to the
laser beam! Looking into the laser beam can cause eye injuries. Burns can
be caused by the laser beam. Furthermore, caution is required when using
optical collecting instruments.
DANGER! (electric shock caused by short circuit)
Modifi cations to the mains cable or the mains plug are prohibited.
Failure to do so may result in fi re or death hazard due to an electric shock!
