5. Model must be balanced in the water for proper
performance. The easiest way to do this is to shift the
batteries forward or back in the hull until the boat flosts with
the rear end of the boat slightly lower then the front. Different
motors and battery packs will vary the speed and performance
of the models, so trial runs in water will help determine the
best balance.
6. Adjust rudder pushrod so that the rudder has the same
amount of movement left and right when operating the rudder
servo. Adjust motor control push rod so that forward, off and
reverse movements are free with no binding on the servo arm.
The use of some type of "servo saver" should be used when
using a DPDT switch for motor control.
7. Be sure to lubricate the drive shafts, and if desired lubricate
the gears to cut down on gear noise. Use petroleum jelly
(Vaseline) or lubricant.
8. Do not run model to far out from the shore line until
becoming familiar with the way the model handles. Also
check (with a watch) the running time of your model so
you will know when to bring your model in for a battery re,
charge.
9. A casting rod is a handy item to bring along when running
model boats. It can be used to retrieve models that have quit
running and are out away from the shore line.
10. Always operate model boats away from any swimmers,
waders, canoeists and fishermen to avoid any chance of
accidents.
11. Operators of R/C models are liable and responsible for
the way in which their models are used, so be careful and use
good judgement when operating your R/C model. Follow all
safety suggestions recommended by the manufacturers of any
and all R/C related equipment andlor accessories.

5. Le modèle doit être équilibré dans l'eau pour assurer un bon
fonctionnement. Pour ce faire, déplacer les piles vers l'avant ou
l'arrière dans la coque jusqu'à ce que la partie arrière du bateau flotte
légèrement plus bas que la partie avant. La vitesse et la performance
du bateau varieront en fonction du type de moteur ou du bloc-piles
utilisés par conséquent, les essais dans l'eau seront déterminants pour
l'équilibre du modèle radiocommandé.
6. Ajuster la tige, poussoir du gouvernail de façon à ce que la
servocommande permette les mêmes mouvements vers la gauche
et la droite. Ajuster la tige-poussoir du moteur de façon à ce que
le mouvement avant, arrêt, arrière soit libre, sans grippage sur la
servocommande. Une sorte d'« économiseur » de servocommande
devrait être utilisé avec un interrupteur bipolaire bidirectionnel pour la
commande de moteur.
7. Bien lubrifier les arbres de transmission et si désiré, lubrifier aussi
les engrenages pour réduire le bruit. Utiliser de la gelée de pétrole
(vaseline) ou du lubrifiant Lubriplate.
8. Ne laissez pas le bateau s'éloigner trop loin du rivage tant que
vous n'êtes pas familier avec la façon dont il fonctionne. Minutez
également (à l'aide d'une montre) la durée de marche de votre
modèle, afin de savoir à quel moment le ramener pour recharger les
piles.
9. Une canne à pêche peut s'avérer utile lorsque l'on fait fonctionner
des modèles réduits de bateaux, spécialement pour ramener ceux qui
se désactivent loin du rivage.
10. Prendre soin de toujours faire fonctionner les modèles réduits
de bateaux loin des nageurs, pêcheurs et canoéistes pour réduire les
risques d'accidents.
11. Les opérateurs de modèles radiocommandés sont responsables
de la façon dont ils utilisent leurs modèles par conséquent, soyez
prudent et exercez un bon jugement lorsque vous faites fonctionner
votre modèle radiocommandé. Suivez toutes les recommandations du
fabricant de matériel et d'accessoires de radiocommande.
