INSTALLING THE HEATING CIRCUIT FILLING
STATION
The heating circuit filling station is connected to the cold-water feeding line of the heating circuit and sup-
plies softened or desalinated water to the heating system when filling it for the first time or when re-filling.
The heating circuit filling station with its upstream digital water meter and downstream ball valve serves
as the connecting piece between the pipe and the softening or desalination bottle.
The heating circuit filling station is fitted with unions screws with external threads (G ¾") on both sides.
These are used to connect it directly to the pipes.
It must be possible to shut off the heating circuit filling station (e.g. shut-off valve) upstream of the heating
circuit filling station.
The installation height depends on the pipe course. chapter 5.6 "INSTALLATION DIMENSIONS" must be
observed when determining the minimum installation height from the ground to the middle of the pipe.
The heating circuit filling station must be installed in the direction of flow. The direction of flow is indicated
by arrows on the insulation shells. (see fig. 3) If this requirement is ignored, the heating circuit filling station
will not work.
The heating circuit filling station must be fitted so that it is free from mechanical stress or strain. The pipe
should be as level as possible, which requires the input and output sides to be in line. Otherwise mechanical
damage to the heating circuit filling station can occur. This can lead to leaks and result in severe water dam-
age.
Therefore when fitting, ensure that no large forces act on the pipe and heating circuit filling station.

INSTALLING THE RESIN BOTTLES

5.4.1
SOFTENING/DESALINATION BOTTLE (SMALL)
Installation
/ Close upstream shut-off valve and downstream ball valve!
/ Remove the cap from the new resin bottle.
/ Lift the resin bottle and screw clockwise into the heating circuit filling station.
/ Ensure proper fit of the two greased O-rings!
/ Tighten the resin bottle by hand so that it is properly sealed and the unit is neither damaged nor
overtightened!
