Differential demontieren und Ritzelkassette wechseln
Das Differential ist wartungsfrei und muss nur ausgebaut wer-
den, wenn die Ritzelkassette ausgewechselt werden soll.
1. Schrauben Sie das linke Laufrad ab (Seite 29) oder schrauben
Sie den linken Bremssattel ab.
2. Schieben Sie den Gummibalg (2) vom Differentialgehäuse (4)
nach links.
3. Lösen Sie die M6 Schraube (1).
4. Ziehen Sie die linke Achseinheit (3) ca. 10 cm aus dem Rah-
menrohr und aus dem Differential heraus. Im Differential be-
findet sich ein 10 mm Innensechskant.
5. Halten Sie das rechte Laufrad fest, stecken Sie einen 10 mm
Innensechskantschlüssel (5) in den Sechskant im Differential
und schrauben Sie das Differential (4) mit dem Kettenblatt-
satz (7) von der rechten Antriebswelle (6) im Uhrzeigersinn
ab (Achtung: Linksgewinde).
Hinweis:
Falls sich nicht das Differential sondern die rechte Antriebs-
schraube löst, dann gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Lösen Sie die Klemmschraube am Schaltauge und ziehen
Sie die rechte Antriebswelle mit dem Differential ein wenig
nach links heraus. Halten Sie die Welle mit einer Rohrzange
und schrauben Sie mit einem Innensechskantschlüssel 10
mm (5) das Differential heraus. Bei anschließenden Monta-
ge müssen Sie die Antriebsschraube mit hochfesten Schrau-
benkleber sichern und mit einem Drehmoment von 80 Nm
festziehen.
6. Ziehen Sie das Differential mit dem Kettenblattsatz heraus.
Jetzt können Sie das Kettenblatt mit den Schutzscheiben und
der Distanzhülse demontieren.

Removing the differential and replacing the cassette
The differential requires no maintenance and must only be re-
moved when replacing the cassette.
1. Unscrew the left wheel (page 28) or the left brake caliper.
2. Slide the rubber bellows (2) of the differential case (4) to the
left.
3. Loosen the M6 bolt (1).
4. Pull the left axle assembly (3) approx. 10 cm (4") out of the

frame tube and out of the differential.
5. Brace the right wheel while unscrewing the differential (4)
with the chainring assembly (7) from the right drive shaft (6)
clockwise (Attention: left-hand thread) by using a 10mm Allen
key (5) in the hexagon socket.
Note:
If the right drive screw comes off instead of the differential,

then proceed as follows:
Loosen the clamp screw on the derailleur hanger and pull
the right drive shaft with the differential slightly out to the
left. Brace the shaft using a pipe wrench, and unscrew the
differential, using a 10mm Allen key (5) in the hexagon
socket.When reassembling the unit, the drive screw must
be secured using high strength threadlocker and tightened
with a torque of 80 Nm (65 ft-lbs).
6. Remove the differential with the chainring assembly. Now the
chainring with the chainguards and spacer can be removed.
