14.3 Flying

• Always ensure sufficient speed when the model is flying. At low speeds, excessive movements of the elevator
control lever will cause the model to slow down and tilt forward or to the side.
• For this reason, ensure that you fly the model at a safe height to enable you to get used to the controls. Do not fly
the model too far away when outdoors to ensure that you can gauge the altitude.

14.4 Flying curves

• The rudder can be used to tilt the model and make it curve. When the model has reached the desired tilt angle, the
rudder must be moved back to the central position. The curve can then be flown at a constant altitude by gently
pulling the elevator control stick.
• When the model is flying in the desired direction, a brief movement of the rudder in the opposite direction will bring
the model back to a horizontal position and return the elevator to the central position. To begin with, avoid flying in
narrow curves and ensure that the altitude remains constant.

14.5 Landing

Risk of injury! Never try to catch the model by hand.
• Fly the model in large flat circles. Do not pull too hard on the elevator to ensure that you can reduce the altitude in
a controlled manner. When flying the last curve before landing, ensure that the model will land against the wind,
that you will have sufficient space for landing in the event of an emergency, and that you will not need to make
significant corrections to the flight path during the approach.
• Ensure that the model is flying at a sufficient speed. Do not slow the model down by pulling too hard on the eleva-
tor. The elevator should only be fully pulled shortly before landing. If the approach is too short, you can compen-
sate for this by increasing the motor power slightly.
• After landing, adjust the wire connecting the rudder and the elevator so that the digital trim is in the central position
and the model continues to fly in a straight line.

15. Care and cleaning

• Check that the motors are operating smoothly at regular intervals. All moving parts should move freely, but there
must be not any slackness in the bearing.
• Clean the exterior of the model and the remote control with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Never use aggressive clean-
ing chemicals or detergents, as these may damage the surface of the model.
