Preparing for installation

Check the diameter (D) of the core drill hole/wall
1
sleeve and wall thickness (X) (see Fig. 2).
Then clean the core drill hole/wall sleeve.
Legend for Fig. 2
1
Diameter (D min = 99 mm, D max = 103 mm)
2
Wall thickness (X min with module 1 - 4 = 120
mm; with module 6 = 160 mm; with module
8 = 240 mm; X max = 500 mm)
A clean, smooth contact surface is required for the
2
ESH PolySafe GV1. In the case of smaller breaks, these
can be subsequently reworked.
In the case of larger breaks, a renovation wall sleeve is
inserted in the opening (optional) and mortar-fixed with
quick-setting cement mortar PCI-Polyfix (see Fig. 3).

riant 1
Inside of building
1
Push the ESH PolySafe GV1 into the core drill hole/
wall sleeve from the inside of the building until the
flange is up against the inside wall (see Fig. 4).
If the ESH PolySafe GV1 is being used with a gas
fitting DN 32 or DN 40 (PE outside pipe diame-
ter 40 or 50 mm), two additional tabs (Art. No.
1910000400) have to be engaged in the recesses
that are provided for this purpose on the back of
the hexagonal front panel (see Fig. 5).
Optional installation position with additional tabs:
Recesses behind and opposite the Hauff logo.

Drill the two holes (Ø 10 mm, drill depth 80 mm) and
dowel the additional tabs.
Mount the wall attachment elements SXR 10x80 with
a torque wrench and tighten screws A/F 13 with a
torque wrench (see Fig. 6).
For additional installation instructions, see: Installa-
tion instructions for PolySafe twist and rip-out
protection.
Dowels and screws according to approval ETA-
07/0121.
Tightening torque for concrete: up to 20 Nm.
Tightening torque for masonry: up to 6 Nm.

Align the flange using a spirit level (see Fig. 7).
Then tighten the four internal hex screws of the in-
ternal sealing crosswise and in several passes until
the yellow pressure pins/control pins are flush with
the front panel or a torque of 6 Nm has been rea-
ched (see Fig. 8 and 9).

Installation of external sealing ele-
ment module 1
To facilitate installation, the sleeve pipe and the
internal sealing surface of the external sealing
element (module 1) can be generously spread with
lubricant (see Fig. 10 and Fig. 11).
Then push the external sealing element (module 1)
into the opening/wall sleeve from the outside of the
building over the sleeve pipe until it is flush with the
wall (see Fig. 12).
Tighten the internal hex screws of the external sealing
element crosswise and in several passes until a torque
of 6 Nm has been reached and the rubber is emerging
evenly from all inspection openings (see Fig. 13 and 14).

A duct with connection sleeve can then be connected
to the sleeve pipe of the ESH PolySafe (see installation
instructions "Pipe connection for ESH/MSH PolySa-
fe, MSH FW, ESH/MSH Basic FUBO" and Fig. 15).
Installation of external sealing ele-
ment module 1.2
To facilitate installation, the sleeve pipe and the
internal sealing surface of the external sealing
element (module 1.2) can be generously spread
with lubricant (see Fig. 16 and 17).
Outside of building
For the variant ESH PolySafe GV1 with module 1.2,
push the external sealing element (module 1.2) over
the sleeve pipe as far as it will go against the outside
wall of the building (see Fig. 18).
Tighten the internal hex screws of the external sealing
element crosswise and in several passes until a torque
of 6 Nm has been reached (see Fig. 19).
Connection with duct to sleeve pipe (as in Fig. 15).
