12. Inserting/Changing the Luminaire

The insertion/replacement of the luminaire (not enclosed, can be ordered separately) is only
admissible when free of voltage/powered down.
Turn off the power on all poles of the mains supply by removing the respective electric circuit
fuse or switching off the circuit breaker and then deactivating the associated fault circuit inter-
rupter. Protect it from unauthorised re-activation, e.g. with a danger sign.
Check that the mains connection is free of current, e.g. with an appropriate tester.
Before a (defective) luminaire is replaced, the product (and the luminaire) must cool off comple-
tely. Otherwise, there is danger of burns!
• Loosen the screw (2) on the top so that the front cover (3) can be folded open.
• Use a suitable luminaire (halogen rod R7S) with a maximum output of 500 W into the lamp socket.
Other luminaires of build R7S can be used as well, e.g. energy saving lamps or LED luminaires.
However, it depends on the housing shape whether they can be used or not.
If a halogen rod is used as a luminaire, never touch it with bare hands. Traces of grease on the
fingers may cause material changes of the halogen rod glass due to the great heat.
This material change may cause the luminaire to burst.
• Close the front cover again and tighten the screw (2) loosened at first. Ensure that the front cover fits
tightly so that no moisture can ingress.
• Deactivation of the mains voltage for insertion/replacing the lamp has caused all settings to be lost (e.g.
time/date). Observe chapter 9 on setting the surveillance camera.
