Device-specific safety instructions
• Never add igniting fluid or coals soaked in igniting
fluid to hot or warm coals.
• Do not use any spirits, gasoline or similar liq-
uids for igniting or re-igniting!
• Do not use any additional fire accelerants (liquid
grill igniters, pastes, etc.) during operation.
• Never leave the device unsupervised after use.
Risk of injury and fire!
• Remember that ash and embers from the grill or
stove may be thrown up during use.
• After removing the device from the grill, be sure
to store it on a non-combustible and heat-resist-
ant base in the holder, beyond the reach of peo-
ple and animals.
• Do not operate the product in moist environments
or allow it to become moist.
• Do not expose to rain or damp.
• Careless handling of the product increases the
risk of fire and explosion.
• Risk of burns! Do not touch the hot nozzle. Wear
protective gloves.
• Never point the hot air current at persons or ani-
mals.
• Never use the product as a hair dryer or for dry-
ing clothing.
• Do not block the air inlet openings.
• Let the product completely cool before storing.
The hot nozzle can cause damage and fires.
• Symbols affixed to your tools may not be
removed or covered. Information on the device
that is no longer legible must be replaced imme-
diately.
Read and observe the instructions for use
before using for the first time.

Operation
DANGER! Risk of explosion and burns!
Never use any additional fire accelerants
(spirits, gasoline, liquid grill igniters, grill
ignition paste, etc.) during operation.
DANGER! Danger of fire! Never hold the
lighter directly in the fire or embers!
WARNING! Risk of burns! Wear grilling
gloves and appropriate clothing.

Check before starting!
DANGER! Risk of injury! The product
must only be put into operation if no defects
are found. It is crucial that any defective
parts are replaced before the product is
used again.
– Check the safe condition of the product:
– Check that the air inlet openings are not blocked.
– Check all parts to make sure that they fit tightly.
– Check whether there are any visible defects: bro-
ken parts, cracks, etc.
Igniting the grill
► P. 3, item 1
– Place the charcoal or briquettes in a pyramid on
one side of the grill.
– Connect the lightter to the power supply and hold
the lighter under the pyramid so that one end of
the lighter touches the coals.
– Press the On-Off switch (2) and hold the lighter in
the same position for approximately 2–3 minutes
until a flame is visible.
– When the coals start to catch fire, slowly move
the lighter back to 20-30 cm away from the fire.
– Continue to hold the On-Off switch down and
point the lighter at the same area of the coals.
Note: Depending on the quantity and qual-
ity of the coals, it will take approximately 5–
6 minutes to achieve embers suitable for
cooking.
Lighting a fire

– Place the largest pieces of wood at the back and
the smaller ones at the front.
– Distribute scrunched paper between the smaller
pieces of wood.
– Hold the lighter so that it touches the paper and
press the On-Off switch (2).
– When the paper starts to burn, move the lighter
about 20–30 cm away from the fire and do not
switch off until the smaller pieces of wood have
caught fire.
After igniting
WARNING! Risk of burns! During the
cool-down period, lay the device down in
such a way that no one can be injured.
Use the stand (5) for resting the device.
Don't put the device down on any inflamma-
ble surface.
– As soon as the work is completed pull out the
mains plug and put the product on its stand (5) to
let it cool down.
