• The activation and deactivation of the
rinse aid dispenser (only with the multitab
function on)
• The number of the washing programme
• The remaining time to the end of the
washing programme
• The end of a washing programme (the
display shows a zero)
• The time of the delay start
• The alarm codes.
On/off button
Press this button to activate or deactivate
the appliance.
After ten minutes from the end of the wash-
ing programme, the Auto Off function auto-
matically deactivates the appliance. This
helps to decrease energy consumption.
Delay start button
Press this button again and again to delay
the start of the washing programme from 1
to 24 hours.
Multitab button
Press this button to activate or deactivate
the multitab function. Refer to 'Multitab
function'.
Extra-rinse button
This function adds a cold rinse phase to the
washing programme. The programme du-
ration and the water consumption increase.
Activate or deactivate the extra-rinse func-
tion before the start of a washing pro-
gramme. You cannot activate or deactivate
the function while a washing programme
operates.
The extra-rinse function is not available for
all washing programmes. Refer to 'Washing
programmes'.
Sanitize button
This function gives better results for the hy-
giene. During the rinsing phase, the tem-
perature stays at 70 °C for 10 to 14 mi-
nutes.
Activate or deactivate the sanitize function
before the start of a washing programme.
You cannot activate or deactivate the func-
tion while a washing programme operates.
The sanitize function is not available for all
washing programmes. Refer to 'Washing
programmes'.
Half-load button
Use this function when it is necessary to
start a washing programme with a small
load.
The half-load function decreases the pro-
gramme time and the consumption of water
and energy.
When you use this function, put the load in
the two baskets and decrease the deter-
gent quantity.
Activate or deactivate the half-load function
before the start of a washing programme.
You cannot activate or deactivate the func-
tion while a washing programme operates.
The half-load function is not available for all
washing programmes. Refer to 'Washing
programmes'.
Programme button
Press this button again and again to set a
washing programme. Each time you press
the button, the display shows a number
that is related to a washing programme.
Refer to 'Washing programmes'.
Function buttons
With these buttons you can:
• Adjust electronically the level of the water
softener. Refer to 'Setting the water soft-
ener'.
• Activate and deactivate the rinse aid dis-
penser (only with the multitab function
on). Refer to 'What to do if...'.
• Cancel a washing programme in opera-
tion. Refer to 'Select and start a washing
programme'.
Setting mode
The appliance must be in setting mode
for these operations:
• To set and start a washing programme.
• To set and start a delay start.
• To adjust electronically the level of the
water softener.
• To deactivate or activate the rinse aid
dispenser (only with the multitab function
on).
Activate the appliance. The appliance
is in setting mode when:
• The display shows two horizontal status
bars.
• The indicator of the programme button is
on.
