1 Application
The 60X3 Bionic L ink is to be used exclusively for data communication for adjusting a C-Leg or
C-Leg-compact prosthetic system.
2 Safety Information
NOTICE
Non-observance of safety instructions. Failure to follow the safety instructions mentioned
below can lead to faulty control or malfunction of the BionicLink 60X3.
NOTICE
Use by untrained personnel. Use by untrained personnel can lead to faulty control or malfunc-
tion of the BionicLink 60X3.
The Bionic L ink 60X3 may only be used by trained orthopaedic technicians.
NOTICE
Penetration of dirt and humidity. Penetration of dirt and humidity can lead to faulty control or
malfunction of the BionicLink 60X3.
Do not let foreign particles or liquids get into the BionicLink 60X3.
NOTICE
Mechanical overloading. Exterior mechanical impacts or stress such as shocks and vibrations
can lead to faulty control or malfunction of the BionicLink 60X3.
Do not expose the BionicLink 60X3 to mechanical vibrations or shocks.
Do not bend or crush the Bionic L ink 60X3 cable.
Do not take the Bionic L ink 60X3 into operation if there is visible damage to the Radio Adapter Cable
or to the housing. If you see any damage, please return the device to an Ottobock Service Facility.
NOTICE
Magnetic interferences. The BionicLink 60X3 might malfunction when near high-tension pow-
er lines, transmitters, transformers or other sources of strong electromagnetic radiation.
Avoid proximity to strong magnetic and electric interference sources.
NOTICE
Adjustments or modifications on the device. Any changes or modifications you make on the
device can lead to faulty control or malfunction of the BionicLink 60X3.
Do not make any changes or modifications to the device.
NOTICE
Thermal overloading. Extended exposure to extreme temperatures can lead to faulty control
or malfunction of the BionicLink 60X3.
Avoid areas with temperatures beyond admissible temperature range (see Section 7 „Technical
Data").
