7. THE MOST FREQUENT MALFUNCTIONS AND WAYS OF ELIMINATING THEM

During everyday use of the fireplace insert, the below described anomalies may become
apparent in the case when the fireplace insert has been installed in a manner contrary
to this Operation and Installation Manual and the applicable provisions of law.
Smoke escapes to the room
when the door is opened
The heating efficiency is low or
the fire in the hearth goes out
The heating efficiency is low de-
spite the correct burning process
in the hearth
Soot accumulates on the glass
and it does not burn off
The appliance may be functio-
ning incorrectly due to external
factors

open the door slowly

ventilation and make sure that
the room is well aired

add as much fuel as is required
use fuel with a moisture content
of up to 20%

use wood with a higher calorific
value instead
use fuel with a moisture content
of up to 20%
place thicker logs in the fireplace
increase the amount of air in
the combustion chamber, use
fuel with a moisture content of
up to 20%
use dry deciduous hardwood
