General hints
• No open flames may be used under
the switched-on hood. They could
damage the filter(s) or parts of the
appliance or even cause a fire.
For gas hobs, for example, make
sure that none of the cooking zones
are operated without any cookware
on them and regulate the flame so
that it does not extend beyond the
bottom of the cookware.
• Do not flambé under the range
hood. Risk of fire!
• Frying or heating oils and fats under
the cooker hood may only be car-
ried out under constant supervision
due to the risk of fire.
Note: Multiple use of oil increases
the risk of spontaneous combusti-
on.

1.4 Maintenance

• Constant maintenance is necessary
to ensure proper operation and op-
timum performance of the cooker
hood:
• Failure to carry out cleaning as in-
dicated can result in a fire hazard!
• Before cleaning or maintenance
work is carried out, the applaince
must be switched off or disconnec-
ted from the mains supply.
• Clean and/or replace the filters
after the specified time period (Fire
hazard!).
• The grease filters must be clea-
ned or replaced every 2 months of
operation, or more frequently for
particularly heavy usage.
• The activated charcoal filter must
be replaced approximately every
9-12 months of operation, or more
frequently for particularly heavy
usage.
• Damaged cables must be replaced
by the manufacturer or customer
service to avoid any risk.
