6. Care and cleaning
• Before carrying out maintenance
and cleaning work, disconnect the
hood from the power supply.
• Non-compliance with the mainte-
nance and cleaning instructions
can result in a fire hazard due to
grease deposits.
• Filters soiled with grease or blocked
by dirt particles considerably impair
the function of the device, they can
also spread unpleasant odours and
even catch fire.
• When cleaning the area around
the controls in particular, make
sure that no moisture gets into the
electronics.
• The appliance may not be cleaned
with a steam cleaner.
6.1 Cleaning the stainless steel
casing
• Clean the hood using a damp cloth
and a neutral liquid detergent.
We recommend to use a customary
stainless steel cleaning agent.
Aggressive cleaning agents such as
scouring agents or vinegar cleaners
damage the surface!
• Wipe the hood well dry.
• Treatment with a stainless steel
preservative is recommended to
prevent the surfaces from quickly
becoming soiled again.

• Never use stainless steel cleaning
agents near the control elements.
6.2 Cleaning the metal grease
filters
• The filters must be cleaned every
2 months of operation, or more
frequently for particularly heavy
usage.
• Remove the filters one by one by
pushing the trigger back and pulling
the filter down.
• Soak the metal grease filters in hot
rinse water, then clean them with
a soft brush and rinse well with
hot water. If necessary, repeat the
process.
• The metal grease filters can also
be cleaned in the dishwasher in a
standard program with 55 °C.
Due to possible fatty deposits on
dishes or the accumulation of food
particles in the mesh, the metal
grease filters should be cleaned
separately from dishes and glasses.
• Highly soiled metal grease filters
should first be soaked well in hot
rinse water.
