3.5 Chimney assembly
Lower chimney element
• Insert the lower edge of the lower
chimney element (2.1) into the cor-
responding gap on the upper side of
the hood canopy (1).
• Place the drill holes at the upper
rear corners of the chimney ele-
ment on the sidewise drill holes of
the small fixing bracket (11.2) and
fix it with the screws supplied.
Upper chimney element
• Push the two sides of the upper
shaft element (2.2) slightly apart
and place them over the lower chim-
ney element (2.1).
• Place the drill holes at the upper
rear corners of the chimney ele-
ment on the sidewise drill holes of
the large fixing bracket (11.3) and
fix it with the screws supplied.

3.6 Electrical connection
• Before connecting the hood, check
that the mains voltage corresponds
to that indicated on the rating plate
fixed to the inside of the hood.
• Check that the domestic power sup-
ply guarantees adequate earthing.
• Only connect the appliance to the
power supply once it is properly
installed.
• Connect the hood to the mains
through a two-pole switch having a
contact gap of at least 3 mm.
3.7 Before use

• After installation, clean the sur-
rounding area thoroughly so that no
dust or construction debris can be
sucked in during initial operation.
