1. General hints
Cooker hoods extract unpleasant
odours and vapours and create a
pleasant indoor air. Vapours and
grease particles are absorbed by the
grease filter. A correctly dimensioned
cooker hood creates a pleasant room
climate without draughts and ensures
a tolerable humidity of 40-60%.

1.1 Packaging and environment

• The packaging material (plastic
films/bags, polystyrene parts, etc.)
is a source of danger for children.
Keep it out of the reach of children.
• The packaging material is generally
recyclable. Observe the local regu-
lations and guidelines for disposal.
• If you have purchased this appli-
ance as a replacement for an old
appliance, please dispose of your
old appliance in accordance with
the legal regulations. For disposal,
the appliance must be incapacita-
ted by cutting off the supply cable
and returned to the responsible
collection points.

1.2 Installation

• Before installation, make sure that
the hood has not been damaged
during transport.
• If the screws and fasteners are
not used in accordance with this
manual, or if the unit is not fastened
in accordance with the installation
instruction, there is a risk of electric
shock.
Only use screws and small parts
suitable for the extractor hood.
• Clean the environment thoroughly
before and after installation so that
no dust or construction debris can
be sucked in during initial operati-
on.
• Only install the appliance in a suita-
ble location.
• Check the ceiling for the required
carrying capacity and stability.
• Check the routing of electrical and
other cables on and in the wall or
ceiling so that they are not drilled
into.

• The installation, electrical con-
nection and connections of the
extraction ducts must be car-
ried out in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions and
local regulations.
