General hints
• The manufacturer is not liable for
any damage caused by faulty ins-
tallation, improper use or incorrect
operation.
• The minimum safety distance bet-
ween hob and hood is 650 mm.
Please also refer to the information
under „Installation".
• If the installation instructions
for the hob (e.g. for the gas hob)
specify a greater distance than
specified in this manual, this must
be followed.
All exhaust air regulations must be
observed.
• For exhaust air operation, connect
the hood to the exhaust system
using a hose or pipe made of heat-
resistant / non-combustible material
with a minimum diameter of 120
mm. Its course should be as short as
possible. For further information, see
corresponding chapter.
• The exhaust air must not be led into
a smoke outlet (e.g. for burns of gas,
wood, etc.).
• Make sure that the room is suffici-
ently ventilated.
• If non-electric / combustion appli-
ances (e.g. gas appliances, coal
ovens...) are used at the same time
as the hood, sufficient ventilation
must be provided to prevent the
backflow of exhaust gases.
For this purpose, the kitchen must
have a direct opening to the outside.
The room negative pressure must
not exceed 0.04 mbar so that ex-
haust gases are not sucked in again.
Consult the responsible chimney
sweeper for this.
• Check the condition and load capa-
city of the electrical cables before
connecting the device to them.
• Check whether your mains voltage
matches the data on the type plate
inside the hood.
• Check that the domestic power
supply is correctly earthed.
• Do not connect the appliance to
the mains until it has been properly
installed.
• Connect the cooker hood to the
mains using a two-pole switch with
a contact spacing of at least 3 mm.
