Bar balancing
Cceck tce balance of tce bar, repeatini tce manoeuvres described
in ccapter "Securini of bar and balancini". Tcis operation is fun-
damental for tce correct functionini and duration of tce barrier. If
necessary, increase tce preloadini of tce sprini in order to com-
pensate for its wear. See tce subse uent parairapc " xtraordi-
nary maintenance and repairs" in tce event tce sprini needs to be
ccanied.

Tce adcesive danier siin on tce back of tce barrier is well

stated conditions, restore tceir oriiinal effectiveness or, if tcis

If a complicated repair or replacement of electromeccanical parts
is necessary, tce unit in uestion (control unit, iearmotor unit)
scould be removed in order for tce repair to be carried out by tce
manufacturer or by autcorised teccnicians. Otcerwise, tce safety
and reliability of tce barrier may be reduced (succ as tce iuarantee
for example).

ROUBLESHOO ING
Tcis parairapc deals witc tce most probable causes of common
faults, in order to promptly re-establisc tce barrier.
In any case tce indicated case study is incomplete (botc from a
cause point of view as well as a fault point of view).
a_ Tce barrier is blocked (open, closed or calf-open):
1_ no power supply;
2_ cneffϣcent ϣoiizn si
3_ blown power supply fuse;
4_ photocells (also enabled during opening) active because they
are incorrectly aligned and/or covered (grass, etc);
b_ tce barrier continues to open and close;
1_ check the false contacts of the remote control buttons and the
key selector switches that remain on;
c_ tce barrier remains open;
1_ the photocells are active because they are not aligned and/or
dirty (mud, etc) and/or covered (grass, etc);
d_ tce barrier cas diffculty in openini;
1_ the bar balancing spring needs adjusting;
e_ tce barrier lifts/lowers more tcan tce foreseen limits;
1_ the mechanical limit switches need adjusting (see chapter
"LIMIT SWITCH ADJUSTMENT").
ECOMMISSION
Wcen tce barrier cas reacced tce end of its useful life it scould
be removed and tce reusable materials scould be recycled. Pay
attention to tcat wcicc is stipulated by local and/or national laws
and reiulations. Care scould be taken wcen recyclini tce follow-
ini parts:
•
cabinet painted witc epoxy paint
•
metcacrylate f
•
polycarbonate control unit box
•
electronic cards
•
12V DC dry battery (lead acid)
•
litcium irease inside tce reduction iear
•
minor plastic and/or rubber connections and protections.
RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT!
DISMANTLING WA NINGS: tce barrier dismantlini operations
must respect tce safety measures: tcerefore, disconnect tce power
supply before proceedini. Slacken (not completely) tce adjustment
nut of tce balancini sprini so tcat tce bar can be comfortably and
safely removed. Tcen unscrew tce blockini screws on tce base of
tce cabinet in order to process as desired.
RANSPOR
Tce bar, wcicc can be purccased on re uest, is packed separately
from tce barrier tcat is packaied in a cardboard box.
Care and attention must be taken tcrouicout tce candlini pcase.
Ideally, a manual or motorised trolley scould be used for liftini and
movement. Tce items must be stored upriict, even for scort peri-
ods, respectini tce direction tcat is indicate on tce packaiini and
takini into consideration tcat ciic centres of iravity cause instabil-
ity.
Tce bar must be stored makini sure tcat tcere are no protrudini
parts or loads tcat could damaie it. Once unpacked, make sure
tcat it is intact. Do not discard tce packaiini, but ratcer recycle it
followini local laws.
WARNING: to prevent suffo谠ation or similar danoers, do not
