1. Loosen the facepiece from the standby position.

Before use

Strictly follow OSHA 1910.134 and other valid national regulations
for the use of respiratory equipment.
Before using the facepiece for the first time, perform a leak test
(see Chap. 4.3.4 on Page 108).

Donning the facepiece

WARNING
!
Beards and sideburns in the sealing range of the facepiece
will cause leaks! Therefore the facepiece should not be used
by anyone with facial hair of this sort. Spectacle frames in the
sealing range also cause leaks. Use facepiece spectacles.

At very low temperatures, the user can reduce facepiece
fogging by either inhaling or holding his breath when donning
the facepiece.
