OPERATING MODE
● Fit the tool with a suitable fastening
accessory, then plug it to the controller. The
ELRT25 tool is automatically recognized as a
pulse tool.

Use specific guided sockets in order
to have the tool working at its best
performances.
● Select the appropriate program on the
controller.
● Hold the tool by means of the handle and
apply to the fastener to be tightened.
● Press the trigger to start the tool.
For a reverse rotation, press the reverse
button and apply the tool to the fastener.
● Make sure that the tool is in perfect
working order and the controller is
programmed correctly, to reduce the
risk of injury to the operator as a result
of unexpected behaviour of the tool.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Only experienced and qualified personnel
(authorized electricians) are entitled to open and
have access to the inside of the tool.
● If in doubt, return the tool to a Desoutter-
authorized service centre (contact the local
Desoutter Sales for details).
● Prior to any maintenance task: disconnect the
tool.
● When disassembling / reassembling the tool,
take the following precautions:
- Check that the controller is switched off.
- Disconnect the cable.
● When disassembling the tool electronics, take
extra care for the wires when pulling out the
connectors.
● When disassembling the tool front assemblies,
take care for the torque transducer wires.
Any repair on the electric motor or the electronic
board shall be carried out in our workshops or by
trained and qualified personal.
When disposing of components,
lubricants, etc... ensure that the relevant
safety procedures are carried out.
The use of spare parts other than those
originally supplied by the manufacturer
may result in a drop in performance or
in increased maintenance and level of
vibration and in the full cancellation of the
manufacturer's liability.
Preventive maintenance
Every 500,000 cycles:
- Complete disassembly of the gearbox
- Greasing of the gearbox
- Change of the front ball bearing (O kit)
- Change of the sun gear and plastic coupling
(E and F kits)
- Change small parts (D kit)
Every 1,5 million cycles:
- Change of the planet wheels, needles,
bearing cages and gear ring (A kit).
Lubrication
Do not apply too much grease on gears
or bearings; a thin coat shall be sufficient.
Calibration
● We recommend to calibrate the tool once a
year.
