• Do not use the appliance as a fryer, as the oil temperature could not be controlled then and would exceed 230°C, cre-
ating a risk of oil ignition.
• Do not operate the appliance when the tank is empty.
• It is forbidden to replace exhausts during the operation of the pasta boiler
• Before using the appliance, PLEASE THOROUGHLY READ THE MANUAL CONTAINED IN THIS BROCHURE,
with particular emphasis on safety regulations.
• Always close the gas supply taps after use, especially during maintenance and repairs.
• Observe recommendations during cooking, at least in the initial period of use, until practice and experience allows free
setting of time and temperature.
• Upon fi rst start-up, clean the tanks thoroughly, using warm water and detergent to remove the protective oil overcoat.
4.1. Starting the device
• To start the pasta boiler, turn on the control pilot light (control pilot prevents uncontrolled gas leaks). To do this:
• Set the valve knob to the position marked with asterisk
• Press the knob of the valve, start the spark generator while holding the knob in this position (silver button marked with a
star)
• Check the pilot's operation through the viewfi nder behind the door - the fl ame should glow in bright blue. Hold the
valve knob for about 20 seconds to heat up the thermocouple.
• When the thermocouple is warmed up, the pilot fl ame does not go out - the unit is ready for use. If the pilot
fl ame goes out, return to the fi rst step.
• Once the water has reached the boiling point, change the valve setting to economical fl ame.
• To completely switch off the appliance, rotate the knob to the dot position. The control fl ame will go out.
5. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before starting any maintenance work, switch off the appliance, wait for it to cool down, and disconnect the appliance from
voltage.
Daily maintenance includes emptying and cleaning the tank. Thorough cleaning of the appliance ensures that it functions
properly for a long time. Steel surfaces should be cleaned with a dishwasher diluted in very warm water and a soft cloth. Use
ethyl alcohol, acetone or other halogen-free solvent to remove dirt. Do not use abrasive powders or corrosive substances
such as hydrochloric or sulfuric acid. Using acids may impair the functioning and safety of the appliance. Do not use brushes
or metal items as they may cause rust spots. For the same reason, contact with metallic objects should be avoided. Note the
stainless steel brushes and blades, which, while not contaminating surfaces, may scratch them dangerously. In case of high
degree of soiling, absolutely do not use sandpaper; we recommend using synthetic sponges.
It is also forbidden to use silver cleaning agents, and it is advisable to pay special attention to hydrochloric or sulfuric vapors
derived from, e.g., fl oor cleaning.
Once a month, please check whether:
• all gas and electrical connections are executed properly
• tightness of the gas and water systems
• the power cord hasn't been damaged
• all the components of the device are working properly.
• the ventilation system is working properly
Once a year the device should be inspected by the technical service in order to check the degree of wear and to identify
possible faults of the components and parts of the device. In case any faults are detected, they have to be removed by
qualifi ed technical personnel (technical service).
Monthly maintenance, annual service and repair of the device should only be carried out by qualifi ed technical personnel
(technical service).
