Power the radio

1. Battery operation

Note: No batteries are included with this radio.
Pull out the battery compartment locker to release battery com
partment. Insert 6 x D size (UM-1) battery into the compartment.
Ensure the battery is inserted in accordance with the diagram shown.
Return the battery locker to the original position. If the radio is not
to be used for any extended period of time, it is recommended that
the battery is removed from the radio.
