3. Assembly
(Fig. 1)
Plug together the two rails supplied.
1. Insert the two pins (a) of the one guide rail (1)
into the slot (b) of the other guide rail.
2. Push the fasteners (2) forward to secure the
two guide rails.
To disassemble, proceed in reverse order.
4. Use
The guide rail is secured to the workpiece in order
to make exact and straight cuts (see point 4.1).
It can also be used to make 45° cuts (see point
4.2).
Danger!
The guide rail (1) can be used only with the TE-
CS 190, TE-CS 165 hand-held circular saw.
Before working with the guide rail, please also
read the operating instructions and the safety in-
formation issued for the hand-held circular saw.
When the fi rst cut is made, a piece of the rubber
lip at the edge of the guide rail will be cut off . This
ensures that the rubber lip rests exactly against
the saw blade. Use a waste piece for this fi rst cut.
4.1 Working with the guide rail (Fig. 2-3)
Mark up your workpiece.
Position the guide rail (1) so that the edge of
the guide rail (1) rests against the marker line
on the workpiece.
Fasten the guide rail (1) with the screw
clamps (3) (see Fig. 2).
The nipple on the head of the screw clamp (3)
must sit in the recess at the edge of the guide
rail (1).
Place the hand-held circular saw on the guide
rail (1). For 45° cuts see point 4.2.
The elevation (c) in the middle of the rail must
coincide with the recess (d) on the hand-held
circular saw (see Fig. 2).
Switch on the hand-held circular saw and
move it evenly with little force along the guide
rail.
