4. Place an object which represents one own-determined weight unit on the surface.
5. Press and hold the Preset/D+ (3) button until the „1.00" value appears on the display and the value is stored in the
memory.
Note: The preset value remains in the memory until the battery is empty or removed.
b) weighing with own-determined weight units
1. In the own-determined weight unit mode (Preset), place the weighed object on the surface.
2. The display will show the weight in relation to the preset value. Example: the display shows „ 0.85"; this means that the
weighed object's weight represents 85% of the preset value.
3. To return back to the weighing mode in g (oz), press the Preset/D+ (3) button.
FURTHER INFORMATION ON THE DISPLAY
If the „batt" symbol is displayed (Fig. 6) or if there is no displayed value, the battery is empty and must be replaced with
a new battery.
If the „EEEE" symbol appears (Fig. 7),
the appliance has been overloaded and may become damaged. Reduce the weight of the weighed food immediately.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Only use a wet cloth for cleaning the surface; never use any detergents or hard objects, as they may damage the
appliance!
Never clean the unit under running water, do not rinse it or submerge it in water!
Store the unit in a dry place!
SERVICING
Maintenance or repair requiring intervention in the appliance's inner parts must be performed by a professional
service centre.

PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT

• Recycle packaging materials and old appliances; do not throw them away.
• You can dispose of the appliance packing box at a sorted waste collection point.
• Deliver plastic polyethylene (PE) bags to a waste collection facility for recycling.
Recycling of the appliance at the end of its service life:
A symbol on the product or its packaging indicates that this product should not be disposed of as household
waste. It should be delivered to a waste collection facility for recycling of electrical and electronic appliances.
By the proper disposal of the appliance, you can help prevent negative effects on the environment and
