To insert the connecting lead from below:
- Cut open the enclosed rubber insert in accordance with the
cable width.
- Place the rubber insert into the wall terminal box.
- Push the connecting lead through.
Use the enclosed screws to secure the wall terminal box in the
appropriate place.

Electrical connection:
The stripped bus cables are plugged into the marked terminals (insu-
lation strip length 14 mm). Through-wiring to other INSTABUS devi-
ces is permitted.
Ensure that the polarity is correct!
- The red bus cable (+) is plugged into the "+" terminal.
- The black bus cable (-) is plugged into the "-" terminal.

Fitting the upper part of the ARGUS:
1 After connecting the wiring, the upper part of the ARGUS must
be mounted on the terminal box and secured with the two scr-
ews supplied. The electrical connection between terminal block
and pins is automatically made when the parts are screwed
together.
2 Mount the covering plate at the markings and lower it.

Functional and operating elements:
The operating elements on the ARGUS are protected by the cover-
ing plate. To open the cover, push it up as far as it will go and then
pull it off. The set values can be read from the arrow position.

Programming:
A = Use the EIB software tool "ETS2" to load the physical address
and application into the ARGUS.
B = Programming range for magnet. To allocate the physical
address, move a magnet (programming magnet, Art. No. 6391
90) across the programming area.
