Note ambient
temperature and
ventilation
The climatic class can be found on the
rating plate and specifies the ambient
temperatures at which the appliance may
be operated.

If the temperature drops below the lower
ambient temperature, the refrigerating unit
will run less frequently. As a result, the
freezer compartment will not drop to a
sufficiently low temperature. In an extreme
case the frozen food may thaw.
Appliances which feature an ambient
temperature switch Fig. 2/A can be
operated between an ambient
temperature range of +16 °C and +10 °C
following actuation of the switch.
To switch ON press the bottom of the
switch - red mark is now visible. The light
inside the appliance glows at a reduced
luminosity. If the room temperature
exceeds +16 °C, switch off the switch
again.
