Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das Mischpult MPX-10 mit zwei Stereo-Eingangs-
kanälen und einem DJ-Mikrofonkanal ist für belie-
bige DJ-Anwendungen im privaten oder professio-
nellen Bereich geeignet.
Das Gerät kann sowohl frei aufgestellt als auch in
ein Bedienpult eingebaut werden. Es eignet sich
ebenso für die Montage in ein Rack (482 mm/19").
Für die Rackmontage wird eine Höhe von 5 HE
(1 Höheneinheit = 44,45 mm) benötigt.

Mischpult anschließen
Vor dem Anschließen von Geräten bzw. Ändern be-
stehender Anschlüsse das Mischpult ausschalten.
1) Die Stereo-Tonquellen an die entsprechenden
Cinch-Eingangsbuchsen der Kanäle 1 und 2 an-
schließen (weiße Buchse L = linker Kanal; rote
Buchse R = rechter Kanal):
– Geräte mit Line-Pegel-Ausgang (z. B. CD-Spie-
ler, MiniDisk-Recorder, Tapedeck) an die Buch-
sen LINE (28 und 30)
– Plattenspieler mit Magnetsystem an die Plat-
tenspieler-Anschlüsse (29 und 31):
die Audioanschlüsse des Plattenspielers an die
Buchsen PHONO des Kanals anschließen, und
das Massekabel des Plattenspielers mit der je-
weiligen Klemmschraube GND verbinden.
2) Ein DJ-Mono-Mikrofon an die XLR-Buchse (15)
auf der Frontplatte oder an die Klinkenbuchse
(32) auf der Geräterückseite anschließen. (Die
zwei Mikrofoneingänge sind parallelgeschaltet.)
3) Den Verstärker an den Stereo-Ausgang AMP
(26) anschließen.
4) Sollen Tonaufnahmen gemacht werden, das Auf-
nahmegerät an den Stereo-Ausgang REC (27)
anschließen.
5) Die Kanäle 1 und 2 lassen sich über einen Ste-
reo-Kopfhörer (Impedanz ≥ 2 x 8 Ω) vor ihren
Fadern (7 bzw. 13) abhören (siehe Kap. 5.2).
Den Kopfhörer an die Buchse (24) anschließen.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord-
ance with the following code:
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be
connected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be
connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter L or coloured red.

Applications
The mixer MPX-10 with two stereo input channels
and a DJ microphone channel is suitable for any pri-
vate or professional DJ applications.
The mixer may either be used as table top unit or
may be installed into a console. It is also suitable for
installation into a rack (482 mm/19"). For rack instal-
lation, a height of 5 rack spaces (1 rack space =
44.45 mm) is required.

Connecting the Mixer
Switch off the mixer prior to connecting any units or
to changing any existing connections.
1) Connect the stereo audio sources to the corre-
sponding phono input jacks of the channels 1 and
2 (white jack L = left channel; red jack R = right
channel):
– units with line level output (e. g. minidisk re-
corder, CD player, tape deck) to the jacks LINE
(28 and 30)
– turntables with magnetic system to the turn-
table connections (29 and 31):
connect the audio connections of the turntable
to the PHONO jacks of the channel and

Zur Pultbeleuchtung kann an die 4polige XLR-
Buchse (18) eine Schwanenhalsleuchte (12 V/5 W
max.) angeschlossen werden, z. B. die Leuchte
GNL-405 aus dem Programm von „img Stage
Line". Die Leuchte wird mit dem Mischpult ein-
und ausgeschaltet.
7) Zuletzt den Stecker des Netzkabels (25) in eine
Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.

Bedienung
Vor dem Einschalten sollten die Kanalfader (7 und
13) und der Mikrofonregler (16) auf Minimum ge-
stellt werden, um starke Einschaltgeräusche zu ver-
meiden.
1) Das Mischpult mit dem Schalter (1) einschalten.
Zur Anzeige der Betriebsbereitschaft leuchtet die
unterste rote LED der V-förmigen Stereo-Pegel-
anzeige. Anschließend die angeschlossenen Ge-
räte einschalten.
2) Mit den Eingangsumschaltern (2 und 8) die an
den Kanälen 1 und 2 angeschlossenen Signal-
quellen anwählen.
Umschalter in linker Position:
Der Eingang PHONO des Kanals ist angewählt.
Umschalter in rechter Position:
Der Eingang LINE des Kanals ist angewählt.
3) Zur Pegeleinstellung von Kanal 1 den Crossfader
(14) ganz nach links schieben, die Tonsignale
(Testsignale oder Musikstücke) auf den Kanal
geben, und mit dem Fader (7) anhand der LED-
Pegelanzeige den Kanalpegel ausregeln. Opti-
male Aussteuerung liegt vor, wenn bei den laute-
sten Passagen die obersten grünen LEDs der
Pegelanzeige kurz aufleuchten. Übersteuerun-
gen werden durch Aufleuchten der roten LEDs
angezeigt.
Bei sehr wenig oder sehr weit aufgezogenem
Fader muß der Pegel durch Regulierung der Ein-
gangsverstärkung angepaßt werden: Den GAIN-
Regler (3) entsprechend zurück- bzw. aufdrehen.

2) Connect a DJ mono microphone to the XLR jack
(15) on the front panel or to the 6.3 mm jack (32)
on the rear panel of the mixer. (The two micro-
phone inputs are connected in parallel.)
3) Connect the amplifier to the stereo output AMP
(26).
4) If audio recordings are to be made, connect the
recording unit to the stereo output REC (27).
5) The channels 1 and 2 may be monitored via
stereo headphones (impedance ≥ 2 x 8 Ω) ahead
of their faders (7 or 13) (see chapter 5.2).
Connect the headphones to the jack (24).
6) To illuminate the console it is possible to connect
a gooseneck lamp (12 V/5 W max.), e. g. GNL-
405 from the "img Stage Line" range to the 4-pole
XLR jack (18). The lamp is switched on and off
with the mixer.
7) Finally connect the plug of the mains cable (25)
to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).

Operation
Prior to switching on, the channel faders (7 and 13)
and the microphone control (16) should be set to
minimum to prevent loud switching noise.
1) Switch on the mixer with the power switch (1).
The red LED at the bottom of the V-shaped
stereo level display lights up to indicate that the
mixer is ready for operation. Then switch on the
connected units.
2) Select the signal sources connected to the chan-
nels 1 and 2 with the input selectors (2 and 8).

3) For level adjustment of channel 1, slide the cross-
fader (14) to its extreme left position, feed the
audio signals (test signals or musis pieces) to the

und dem Tiefenregler (6) das gewünschte Klang-
bild für Kanal 1 einstellen: Die Höhen, Mitten und
Tiefen lassen sich bis max. 12 dB anheben bzw.
bis max. 30 dB stark absenken. Stehen die Reg-
ler in Mittelstellung, findet keine Frequenzgang-
beeinflussung statt.
Hinweis: Klangeinstellungen wirken sich auf den
Pegel aus. Deshalb nach einer Klangregulierung
den Kanalpegel anhand der Pegelanzeige kon-
trollieren und ggf. korrigieren.
5) Zur Pegeleinstellung von Kanal 2 den Crossfader
ganz nach rechts schieben, die Tonsignale auf
den Kanal geben, und anhand der Pegelanzeige
mit dem Fader (13) und dem Gain-Regler (9) den
optimalen Pegel einstellen. Dann mit dem Hö-
henregler (10), dem Mittenregler (11) und dem
Tiefenregler (12) die Klangeinstellungen für Ka-
nal 2 durchführen.
6) Mit dem Crossfader kann nun zwischen den Ka-
nälen 1 und 2 übergeblendet werden:
Zum Einblenden von Kanal 1/Ausblenden von
Kanal 2 den Crossfader nach links schieben.
Zum Einblenden von Kanal 2/Ausblenden von
Kanal 1 den Crossfader nach rechts schieben.
Steht der Crossfader in Mittelstellung, werden
beide Kanäle gleichzeitig auf die Ausgänge ge-
geben.
7) Mit dem Regler (16) die gewünschte Lautstärke
für das an der Buchse (15) oder (32) angeschlos-
sene DJ-Mikrofon einstellen.
5.1 Talkover-Funktion
Die Talkover-Funktion dient zur besseren Verständ-
lichkeit von Mikrofondurchsagen bei laufendem Mu-
sikprogramm. Zum Einschalten der Funktion den
Schalter (17) in die rechte Position stellen (LED
neben dem Schalter leuchtet): Bei dieser Schalter-
stellung werden die Pegel der Kanäle 1 und 2 um
16 dB abgesenkt.
Zum Abschalten der Funktion die Schalter wieder
in die linke Position stellen.

fader (7) by means of the level display. An opti-
mum adjustment is obtained if the uppermost
green LEDs of the level display light up shortly
during music peaks. Overload is indicated by the
red LEDs lighting up.
With the fader in minimum or maximum posi-
tion, the level must be matched by adjusting the
input amplification: Turn back or turn up the GAIN
control (3) accordingly.
4) Adjust the desired sound for channel 1 with the
treble control (4), the midrange control (5), and
the bass control (6): The high, medium, and low
frequencies can be boosted up to max. 12 dB or
be substantially attenuated up to max. 30 dB.
With the controls in mid-position, the frequency
response is not affected.
Note: Sound adjustments affect the level. There-
fore, check the channel level with the level dis-
play after a sound adjustment and correct it, if
required.
5) For level adjustment of channel 2, slide the cross-
fader to its extreme right position, feed the audio
signals to the channel and adjust the optimum
level with the fader (13) and the gain control (9) by
means of the level display. Then make the sound
adjustments for channel 2 with the treble control
(10), the midrange control (11), and the bass con-
trol (12).
6) It is now possible to fade between the channels 1
and 2 with the crossfader:
For fading in channel 1/fading out channel 2,
slide the crossfader to the left.
For fading in channel 2/fading out channel 1,
slide the crossfader to the right.
With the crossfader in mid-position, both chan-
nels are simultaneously fed to the outputs.
7) Use the control (16) to adjust the desired volume
for the DJ microphone connected to the jack (15)
or (32).
