5.2 Vorhören über einen Kopfhörer

Die Vorhörfunktion ermöglicht es, Kanal 1 oder Ka-

nal 2 über einen an der Buchse (24) angeschlosse-
nen Kopfhörer abzuhören, auch wenn der jeweilige

Kanal ausgeblendet ist. Dadurch kann z. B. auf einer
CD der gewünschte Titel ausgewählt oder der rich-
tige Zeitpunkt zum Einblenden der jeweiligen Ton-
quelle abgepaßt werden.
1) Mit dem Umschalter (23) den gewünschten Ka-
nal anwählen.
linke Position:
Kanal 1 ist angewählt.
rechte Position: Kanal 2 ist angewählt.
2) Mit dem Regler (19) die gewünschte Kopfhörer-
lautstärke einstellen.
ACHTUNG: Stellen Sie die Kopfhörerlautstärke
nie sehr hoch ein. Hohe Lautstärken können auf
Dauer das Gehör schädigen! Das menschliche
Ohr gewöhnt sich an große Lautstärken und emp-
findet sie nach einiger Zeit als nicht mehr so
hoch. Darum eine hohe Lautstärke nach der Ge-
wöhnung nicht weiter erhöhen.
3) Mit dem Höhenregler (20), dem Mittenregler (21)
und dem Tiefenregler (22) können die Höhen,
Mitten und Tiefen für den Kopfhörerausgang bis
max. 12 dB angehoben bzw. bis max. 30 dB stark
abgesenkt werden. Stehen die Regler in Mittel-
stellung, findet keine Frequenzgangbeeinflus-
sung statt.
5.1 Talkover function

The talkover function serves to improve the intelligi-
bility of microphone announcements made during a
music programme. To switch on the function, set the
switch (17) to its right position (LED next to the
switch lights up): In this switch position, the levels of
the channels 1 and 2 are attenuated by 16 dB.
To switch off the function, set the switch to its left
position again.
5.2 Prefader listening via headphones
The prefader listening function allows to monitor
channel 1 or channel 2 via headphones connected
to the jack (24) even if the respective channel is
faded out. Thus, it is possible e. g. to select the de-
sired title on a CD or to choose the correct moment
for fading in the respective audio source.
1) Select the desired channel with the selector (23).
left position:
channel 1 is selected
right position: channel 2 is selected
2) Adjust the desired headphone volume with the
control (19).
CAUTION: Never adjust the headphones to a
very high volume. Permanent high volume may
damage your hearing! The human ear will get
accustomed to high volume which does not seem
to be that high after some time. Therefore, do not
further increase a high volume after getting used
to it.
3) With the treble control (20), the midrange control
(21), and the bass control (22), the high, medium,
and low frequencies for the headphone output
can be boosted up to max. 12 dB or be substan-
tially attenuated up to max. 30 dB. With the con-
trols in mid-position, the frequency response is
not affected.
