Installation

Installation of Alde Voice Control involves fitting the Gateway, fitting the microphone and connecting
and activating the Gateway and the microphone.
Fitting the Gateway
The Gateway is fitted by connecting the Gateway to the Alde control panel and then securing the
Gateway in a suitable location.
1. Remove the Alde control panel. To do this, remove the front cover, undo the securing screws
and then carefully remove the Alde control panel from the wall/fastening.
2. Turn the Alde control panel over and unplug the power supply cable from the rear. Note that
the position of the power supply cable on the rear of the Alde control panel will differ depending
on the heating system and model year, see illustration 2 on page 22.
3. Connect the Gateway to the rear of the Alde control panel. To do this, first connect the black
panel cable supplied (length 1 m) to the Gateway's connection port marked "Alde Panel"
and then connect to the connection of the Alde control panel, see illustration 2 on page 22.
4. Now fit the Gateway securely in the vehicle. Secure the Gateway in position using a screw
or double-sided tape (not supplied).
5. Plug the power supply cable back into the Alde control panel. The power supply cable
must be inserted in the same socket as previously used in point 2 above.
NOTICE Automatic upgrades
If you have an Alde control panel shown as Alternative 3 on page 21, it can be automatically
upgraded once connected with the Gateway. This takes around 35 seconds. During this time the
display will turn black and the LED on the Gateway will flash green in rapid succession. Let the
Alde control panel work undisturbed throughout this period.
6. Refit the Alde control panel in its previous fastening by replacing it where it was and screwing it
in position, and refit the front cover by pressing it on.
