Troubleshooting

Here we describe some common scenarios that may occur if e.g. Alde Voice Control does not provide
feedback as it should or if some other communication problem arises.
1. Nothing happens on the Alde control panel when I give a voice command.
A. Does the microphone light up red after the wake-up phrase?
– No Say the phrase again, preferably with different intonation or volume
– Yes Continue to point B.
B. Does the green LED on the Gateway flash when the microphone lights up red?
– No Go to point 2. Problem on pairing
– Yes Continue to point C
C. Does the green LED on the Gateway flash when a voice command is given?
– No Try repeating the voice command several times, for as long as the microphone
lights up red. It is a good idea to try a different intonation or volume.
– No, it still doesn't work.
– Yes, it works!
D. Is there a beep from the Alde control panel or do the settings change in accordance with the
command given?
– No Did you use a voice command that works for your version of the Alde control panel,
as per the table on pages 26-27?
– No
– Yes
2. Problem on pairing the Gateway with the microphone?
A. You need to clear the pairing memory in the Gateway and in all your microphones. To do this,
give the full voice command: "Alde listen, Uninstall microphone". Check that the microphone(s)
light(s) up red and pick(s) up the command. The microphone memory is now clear and the
microphone(s) will flash blue.
Now hold down the pairing button on the Gateway for at least 10 seconds. The blue LED on
the Gateway will start to flash in rapid succession.
Now continue to point B to pair your microphone with the Gateway.
B. Press and hold the pairing button for one second until it shows a steady blue light. Say the
wake-up phrase "Alde listen" within 15 seconds, so that the microphone lights up red and the
Gateway's blue LED goes out. Check that your Alde Voice Control picks up a voice command
by saying both the wake-up phrase and an activation command.
– No, it still doesn't work.
– Yes, now it works!
In which case, select a voice command that suits your Alde control
panel, as per the table on pages 26-27.
Check that the cable is intact and is properly inserted in both the Alde control
panel and the Gateway. Make sure too that it is not twisted together with other
cables.

Go back to point A.

Continue to point D.
You have a fault on your Alde
