Activating Alde Voice Control system prior to first use
1. Start the heating system by pressing the On button on the Alde control panel.
2. You should now ensure that the Alde control panel receives commands from Alde Voice Control.
To do this, enable "translator" or "3rd party panel" in your Alde control panel. You do not need to
perform this step if you have an Alde control panel of the type shown as Alternative 3 on page
21. It is a good idea to look at the operating instructions provided with the Alde Heating System
installed in your vehicle. These contain a more detailed description of how to find "translator" or
"3rd party panel". The operating instructions are available for download from our website:

To pair the Gateway with the microphone:
3. The LED on the Gateway flashes blue in its factory setting.
– To start the pairing procedure, first hold down the black button marked "Pair" on the Gateway
for just over a second. The blue LED will show a steady light on the Gateway. The Gateway
is now ready for pairing within 15 seconds, and during this time you should carry out the step
described in point 4 below.
4. The microphone flashes blue when it is not paired with a Gateway.
– Say the wake-up phrase "Hello Alde" and the Gateway and microphone will look for each other
and pair up.
– If the blue LED on the Gateway goes out, pairing has been successful. If no microphone has
been paired with the Gateway within approximately 15 seconds, the pairing attempt is interrupted
and the blue LED on the Gateway starts flashing again. If this happens, start again from point 3.
5. A maximum of three microphones can be paired with a Gateway. To pair several microphones,
repeat the procedure from point 3.
Installation is now complete.
If you want to cancel pairing that you have started
When the Gateway is in pairing mode, press the pairing button briefly; the blue LED on the Gateway
will start flashing again at one second intervals. The pairing procedure has now been cancelled.
Unpairing the Gateway and the microphone
If you hold down the Pair button for 10 seconds or more, so that the blue LED on the Gateway starts
flashing, pairing has been undone and you have also deleted all paired microphones from the Gate-
way's memory.
If the Gateway's memory has been cleared and you once again want to pair an existing microphone
with the Gateway, you must uninstall the microphone with the voice command "Alde listen, Uninstall
microphone" in order to clear the microphone's memory. Once the microphone has received the voice
command, it will start to flash blue again. Now you can once again pair the Gateway with the micro-
phone by repeating the steps under points 3 and 4 above.
