3. Miscellaneous
• In order to avoid operating faults, only use original Alde cables, shielded cable for EMC (elec-
tromagnetic compatibility).
• Communication problems can occur if the cable between the Gateway and the Alde control
panel is twisted together with other cables or not properly connected. Check also that the panel
cable is not nicked or broken.
• In the case of older Alde control panels (Alternatives 1 and 2 on page 7), feedback for the Alde
Voice Control socket is limited to the LEDs on the Gateway. No beep is emitted.
• The feedback from Alde Voice Control can sometimes be difficult to hear, depending on the
locations of the Gateway, microphone and the Alde control panel.
• If there is no feedback from the Gateway on a voice command, try reactivating Alde Voice Con-
trol by pressing the touch display on the Alde control panel.
• If the Gateway and microphone fail to work, check that the voltage to the Gateway and micro-
phone is correct. The voltage to the Gateway should be 12 V if connected directly to the battery,
and to the microphone 5 V via a USB socket.
• If the Gateway's LED flashes red (1 second on, 1 second off), this is a serious fault, indicating
that contact with Alde Voice Control has been lost. Contact your dealer.
• If the Gateway shows a steady red light, system upgrades are not working on the Alde control
panel in the way in which they should. Contact your dealer.
• To ensure satisfactory contact between the Gateway and the Alde control panel, the length of
the panel cable should not exceed 1 metre.
