FAULT
Battery is connected but display
shows NO BAT message, charg-
ing does not start when GO key is
pressed.
Battery is connected but charger
displays battery voltage and Err
message, GO key disabled
During charge cycle, battery volt-
age remains low and current is
weak
During charge cycle, battery volt-
age remains low and charger sup-
plies weak current.
In START mode, the message Err
is displayed after pre-charging
time and auto cannot be started.
When car ignition key is turned,
battery charger does not supply
current and red STOP LED lamp is
on.
TROUBLESHOOTING

POSSIBLE CAUSE

1) Battery is incorrectly connected.
2) Battery terminal has oxidised and clamp
does not make contact.
3) Battery voltage is too low.
4) Battery charger cables are damaged.
Battery voltage setting is incorrect or lower
than voltage of connected battery.
1) Battery charge is very low; reduced charge
continues for one hour.
2) Battery with shorting elements.
3) Battery setting is incorrect or greater than
voltage of the connected battery
Battery has not been used for twenty days or
is sulphated (old).
Battery voltage is incorrect; start-up is inhib-
ited to prevent damage to car electronics
system. Battery voltage is too low (less than
11V for 12V batteries, less than 22V for 24V
batteries).
Battery is sulphated and will not charge dur-
ing the precharging cycle. Start-up absorp-
tion too high.

SOLUTIONS
1) Reconnect the battery: connect the red
wire to the positive pole (+), the black wire
to the negative pole (-).
2) Clean battery terminals.
3) Force charge to increase battery voltage.
4) Contact an authorised assistance centre.
Set correct battery voltage.
1) Wait for end of charge cycle.
2) If battery charger displays Err message
after one hour of reduced charge, the bat-
tery is damaged.
3) Set correct battery voltage.
Wait for maximum charge time (4/8 hours);
if gassing voltage is not reached and the
battery charger displays Err message, the
battery is damaged.
Carry out another pre-charging cycle.
Before using the cycle, check that the park-
ing lights, headlamps, radio and other
accessories are switched off.
