11. Wait for a few minutes until the device has cooled down before you remove the fl oor cleaning
cloth or the carpet glider. Please note that when you park the device a wet patch can
form beneath the cleaning foot.

Use as Handheld Steam Device

CAUTION!
❐ Never operate the device without water in the water reservoir. The pump may be damaged if
the device is operated without water.
❐ Danger of injury! Only ever touch the device by the handles which are provided for this pur-
pose during operation.
1. Detach the handle rod and the cleaning foot from the main unit and attach the nozzle adapter
to it with the nozzle you want (see the "Assembling the Device" and "Device Functions"
(Functions of the Nozzles) chapters).
2. Fill the water reservoir (see the "Filling the Water Reservoir" chapter).
3. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed mains socket that is easily accessible.
4. Switch on the device by pressing the On/Off switch. The control lamp on the On/Off switch
lights up red as soon as the device starts the heating-up process. Wait until the device has
reached operating temperature and the control lamp lights up blue. You can now start cleaning
the fl oor.
5. Start cleaning. Press the steam release button on the handle and steam will begin to emerge
from the nozzle.
6. Allow the nozzle to glide slowly over the surface to be cleaned.
7. If during use no steam or only a small amount of steam is generated, check whether there is
suffi cient water in the water reservoir and top it up again. Before you top up the reservoir,
press the On/Off button, pull the mains plug out of the plug socket and then top up the water
reservoir in the manner described in the "Filling the Water Reservoir" chapter. Then carry on
cleaning the fl oor.
8. Once you have fi nished cleaning, let go of the steam release button, press the On/Off switch
and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket. Always pull the plug and never the cable!
9. Wait for a few minutes until the device has cooled down before you remove the nozzles or
the adapter.

After Use

1. Switch the device off and pull out the mains plug.
2. After each use, remove the water reservoir from the main unit and empty it into a sink.
3. Allow the device and accessories to cool down completely.
4. Clean the device and the fl oor cleaning cloth after you have used them in the manner described
in the "Cleaning, Storage and Care" chapter.
