11.3 Hydraulic connection

Material losses
!
Carry out all water connection and installation work in
accordance with regulations.
3
Material losses
!
The heating system to which the appliance is connected
4
must be installed by a qualified contractor in accordance
with the water installation drawings that are part of the
technical guides.
Material losses
!
When fitting additional shut-off valves, install a further
safety valve in an accessible location on the heat gen-
erator itself or in the flow line in close proximity to the
heat generator.
There must be no shut-off valve between the heat gen-
erator and the safety valve.
f Install the DHW outlet line and the cold water supply line
f
(see chapter "Specification / Dimensions and connections").
f Please note that, depending on the supply pressure, you may
f
also need a pressure reducing valve.
f Debris (e.g. welding pearls, rust, sand, sealant, etc.) can im-
f
pair the operational reliability of the heat pump.
Thoroughly flush the pipework before connecting the heat
pump.
f Ensure the heating flow and return are connected correctly
f
(see chapter "Specification / Dimensions and connections").
f Provide thermal insulation in accordance with applicable
f
regulations.
Oxygen diffusion
Material losses
!
Do not use open vented heating systems. Use oxygen
diffusion-proof pipes in underfloor heating systems with
plastic pipework.
In underfloor heating systems with plastic pipes that are per-
meable to oxygen and in open vented heating systems, oxygen
diffusion may lead to corrosion on the steel components of the
heating system (e.g. on the indirect coil of the DHW cylinder, on
buffer cylinders, steel radiators or steel pipes).
