Insert batteries / rechargeable
batteries according to polarity
marks (+) and (-) on the battery /
rechargeable battery and the
product.
Clean the contacts on the battery /
rechargeable battery and in the
battery compartment before
inserting!
Remove exhausted batteries /
rechargeable batteries from the
product immediately.

Before first use

Note: Remove all packaging materials from the
product.
1. Turn the product over and place it on a soft
underlay to avoid scratching the surface.
2. Loosen the screw located at the cover of the
battery compartment on the back of the product
by using a screw driver.
3. Open the cover of the battery compartment.
4. Remove the insulating strip from the battery
compartment .

5. Close the cover of the battery compartment and
tighten the screw by using a screw driver.

Replacing battery

1. Turn the product over and place it on a soft
underlay to avoid scratching the surface.
2. Loosen the screw located at the cover of the
battery compartment on the back of the product
by using a screw driver.
3. Open the cover of the battery compartment.
4. Remove the used battery from the battery
compartment .

5. Insert the new battery (as specified in section
„Technical data").
Note: Make sure you insert the battery with the
correct polarity. This is indicated in the cover of
the battery compartment.
6. Close the cover of the battery compartment and
tighten the screw by using a screw driver.

Note: Starting with or without the weighing bowl
the product always starts at zero reading (the tem-
perature will also be shown) when you switch it on.
Note: Zero reading means 0 in g or 0:0.0 in lb:oz
or 0.00 in oz.
However, if you place the weighing bowl
product after you have switched it on, the product
will indicate the weight of the weighing bowl
