11.2 4 Zone Expander

The panel can be expanded to accommodate a maximum of 4 zone expanders up to 16 zones,
when you add on two more zone expanders.
 
1 - Mounting holes for fixing the expander to the chassis.
2 - Connection socket for connection of additional 4-zone / sounder expander
3 - Jumper for „Instant Action Mode"programming. Example:
To program ZONE1 in Instant action mode set a jumper on the z1 position.
4 - Connection plug to connect too:
a.)
mainboard of the DCC 8 plus, as a first expander.
b.)
a previous 4 zone expander 
Note!
A "4 Zone Expander" must be connected in front of any "4 Sounder Expander".
An EOL-Resistor needs to be connected to the last device of every zone (z1 – z4).
(Red = +, Black = -)

Attention!
Do not connect or disconnect the expander when the power is on!
Before connecting or disconnecting the expander you SHOULD check
 
whether the main and the stand-by power supplies are OFF!

11.3 4 Sounder Expander (SND)

The panel can be expanded to accommodate a maximum of 2 sounder expanders. The 8 sounder
outputs can corresponded with the conventional zones. Additionally the panel has on the main
board further 4 sounder zones. They are common. When there is a fire in any zone they will start.
1 - Mounting holes for fixing the expander to the chassis.
2 - Connection socket for connection of additional sounder expander.

LED indication for faults in the SND lines. A fault in any of the SND lines
will light on the LED of the respective sounder circuit together with the
"GENERAL FAULT" and "SOUNDER FAULT/ DISABLE" indicators on the front panel.
4 - Connection plug to connect too:
a.)
a 4 Zone Expander,
b.)
a previous 4 Sounder Expander
c.)
the mainboard of the DCC 8 plus if this is configured as a "Slave" panel. 
 
Note!
A "4 Sounder Expander" may never be installed in front of a "4 Zone Expander"!
An EOL-Resistor needs to be connected to the last unit of every SND line (1 - 4).
(Red = +, Black = -)
